    シンポジウムの目的

  • 山岳の諸問題に関連した国際的な研究者集団のなかで，経験の共有，情報の交換，および学術的協力の推進をはかること。
  • 世界的規模の変化に関連したさまざまな山岳システムの現状，これらの山岳地域がさらされているプレッシャー（人的・自然・経済資源によって生じるプレッシャーを含む），および異なる社会グループや山岳社会によって引き起こされる反応の理解の改善に貢献すること。
  • 山岳の諸問題の軽減方法の立案の観点から，山岳社会の変動を考察し，かつ既存の革新的な解決方法を支持するすることによって，特定の経済的環境に組み込まれた社会システムの可能性を特定すること。
